International Chamber Orchestra of Washington - ICW The ICW, introduces up-coming and established musicians to audiences in the Washington area. The programs range from Baroque to Contemporary music.

In 2013, the composer and conductor Masatoshi Mitsumoto established The International Chamber Orchestra of Washington –ICW, a new orchestra and NPO organization, consisting of professional musicians from Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. The inaugural performance of this exciting new ensemble took place on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at the historical George Washington Masonic National Memo

rial in Alexandria, Virginia. The orchestra’s program consisted of works by Mozart and Tchaikovsky, along with his own composition, “Concerto for cello and string orchestra”. And it featured the rising star cellist, Dai Miyata, as the guest soloist. The orchestra's 2015 Spring Concert featured the extraordinary Polish percussionist, Marianne Bednarska in selection of works for Marimba and Xylophone by Sejourne and Hamilton Green. The ICW also performed works by Mozart, Grieg, and Rautavaara. The 2016 Fall Concert: Baroque or Contemporary? featured the world-renowned Soprano, Hyunah You in a selection of songs by Bach, Vivaldi and Mitsumoto. The ICW also performed works by Creston, Motalla, and Kim.
