It is such an incredible honor to be commissioned for this year's Waterloo Greenway Creek Show with my immersive folklore design, The Creek Keeper! I have been an eager explorer, searching the continent for a city willing to let me showcase their folklore proudly, creatively and immersive-ly, and boy is it ever Austin, Texas! I am very thankful to our partners at Mesmerize Austin, NC Bank and Tito's Handmade Vodka, with additional support from St. David's Foundation, Tapestry Foundation, Austin Community Foundation, LALO Tequila, the Powell Foundation, Nine Branded Whiskey, Loma Vista, Rambler Sparkling-Water, Richard's Rainwater, Nomadica, Bryt, and Univision Austin, and of course Waterloo Greenway!

Congratulations to our incredible team at ALT, Mesmerize, and more for seamlessly bringing this monster to life.
Be sure to visit Austin this November for a creative, moving light show like no other featuring THE CREEK KEEPER! Info and free tickets available at: https://lnkd.in/gAsBHFQY

#95 The Fitzgerald Footpath. This car-clogged corner of Rockville may seem a strange place for one of America’s literary lions
Fitzgerald died of a heart attack in Hollywood in 1940 at the age of 44. He didn’t leave explicit instructions on where he was to be buried, but his wife, the former Zelda Sayre, who then living in an Asheville, N.C., sanitarium, insisted he be laid to rest in the family plot at St. Mary’s.Eight years later Zelda was killed in a fire at her nursing home. Her husband’s casket was removed, the hole dug deeper and Zelda’s casket placed on top. She had only paid for one space.

As we walk through life, here’s wishing for a space to stop and pause, as we think of our own connections to history, not hatred.

#13 The Memorial to the Camelops. Thousands of years ago, the megafauna known as the Camelops lived from Alaska to Mexico, with many remains found in the heart of the desert, in what is now Arizona. The species went extinct when the human population migrated and expanded to the southwest, hunting them down for sustenance. At the Wesley Bolton Memorial Plaza, let’s raise a memorial to the creatures that really helped humans settle the desert, and make a city like Phoenix possible!

It breaks our heart, but we’d hate to put any performers or audience at risk! We will be making bolder moves to exciting digital programming shortly, so stay tuned. This is far from the end!

Mother’s Day is from West Virginia! During the 19th century, women's peace groups in the United States tried to establish holidays and regular activities in favor of peace and against war. A common early activity was the meeting of groups of mothers whose sons had fought or died on opposite sides of the American Civil War. The story goes on, but what you need to know is that the Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church in is the home of the International Mother’s Day Shrine today! We love you mothers and others!
