Tune in on Tuesday, April 22nd at 8 p.m. to hear an interview with the Midcoast’s own Rock Coast Roller Derby (RCRD) on Cheech’s Radio Hour!

On April 26th the 2025 roller derby season begins at the Midcoast Recreation Center. RCRD will go head-to-head against Aroostook Roller Derby & Friends in an adrenaline-pumping, full-contact roller derby showdown.

Rock Coast Roller Derby is Midcoast Maine's one and only roller derby league. Its mission is to empower its members to be strong, healthy, and confident while providing a fun, safe, competitive, and social outlet through the sport of roller derby. RCRD is a skater-owned, volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 2011 and has been a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) since 2014.

Cheech’s Radio Hour has aired every Tuesday at 8 p.m. on 93.3 FM Rockland, and live-streamed on wrfr.org, for almost 20 years. The theme of the show is Art and Community. On the show Cheech DJs music and interviews musicians, artists, and non-profit and community leaders.

Tune in Tuesday, November 12th at 8 p.m. to hear Cheech interview United Midcoast Charities’ (UMC) Executive Director Becca Gildred.

UMC provides financial backing and organizational support to Midcoast nonprofits.

On Cheech’s Radio Hour, Becca will talk about the upcoming Christmas by the Sea Gingerbread House Contest, Day of Giving with local businesses, as well as their Workplace Giving Program.

Listeners will also learn more about UMC’s partnerships with local nonprofits.

Jo and Cheech’s Radio Hour is returning after a summer hiatus!

The first episode is an interview with Timmy and Sammy from the Australian band Bones Atlas. Bones Atlas’ newest single is Corduroy Sugar and is available to hear on YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp, and SoundCloud.
