This show is officially on track to be one of the biggest shows we’ve had at Artists’ Ensemble Theater since before COVID… and honestly, for good reason.

A killer script. A cast that absolutely delivers. Characters you’ll love, question, laugh at, and probably accuse before the night is over. 🔎

“Backstage chaos” but make it art.

What audiences see on stage is only half the story. Behind the scenes of The Murder at the Vicarage is an entire world of details helping bring St. Mary Mead to life… including wigs lined up, pinned down, and ready for their cue.

These are just a few of the wigs prepared this week by Casiena and delivered to the theater ahead of our final week of performances. (And no… Miss Marple’s still isn’t pictured.)

It takes an entire team to build a world like this, and we love getting to share little glimpses of the magic audiences don’t usually see.

Before there were Sherlock obsessions, true crime podcasts, or “whodunnit” TV… there was Agatha Christie.

Agatha Christie’s The Murder at the Vicarage introduced the world to Miss Marple for the very first time in 1930.

Nearly 100 years later, audiences are still trying to solve the mystery before she does.

Come support professional local theatre and experience Margaret Raether’s adaptation of The Murder at the Vicarage, continuing through May 24 at Artists’ Ensemble Theatre.
