The reading starts at 7pm, but we will be there early for some delicious food!

ONE NIGHT ONLY! Join RPG @ The Hope and Anchor English Pub on Saturday, August 22 for a reading of James McLure’s one-act comedy: Lone Star!

In a small town in Texas, Vietnam vet Roy (Mattsen Heller) struggles to hold on to his fading glory, haunted by memories and a 1959 pink Thunderbird. Alongside his younger brother Ray (Derik Marcussen) and childhood friend Cletis (Ethan Sullivan), Roy drinks, fights, and evades a painful reality. Through raw, comedic dialogue, McLure paints a portrait of lost dreams, fractured masculinity, and a desperate search for meaning in the ever-changing American South.
