"Like Jane, I care deeply about my relationships with others. She wants people to see her for who she truly is instead of just what she can do for them. Her loyalty and quiet strength hit home for me since I'm at an age where I'm still figuring out my place in this world. I've learned how important it is to stick by my values even when outside pressures make things tough." - May Hning, Jane Seymour in Auburn High School's production of "Six the Musical: Teen Edition" 📷:

"Although she was intelligent, witty, and ambitious, she was young, highly criticized, and overlooked as her time as queen. Anne Boleyn has always been a second choice; to her siblings, to Henry, and even to herself. But as her character develops throughout the show, she begins to fight for herself." - Josephine Tillema, Anne Boleyn in Auburn High School's production of "Six the Musical: Teen Edition" 📷: Yamile Belmontes-Macias

"She's the “survivor,” but that's not what she wants to be known for. Throughout the show, Catherine realizes that the generalization of the “six wives of Henry VIII” degrades the women's individuality, and by comparing everyone to each other, we are losing who these queens truly are. I've found myself connecting to Catherine's feminist values throughout this show pushing myself to use my voice and stand up for what I think is right." - Ila Sides, Catherine Parr in Auburn High School's production of "Six the Musical: Teen Edition" 📷: Evan Owen

"While making Katherine my own, I tried finding ways to amp up her clever humor. Katherine’s love for music is something I immediately clicked with when I dived into her character, but I also found myself relating to the heartbreaking parts of Katherine. Diving into Katherine also allowed me to dive into myself." - Sanaai Brown, Katherine Howard in Auburn High School's production of "Six the Musical: Teen Edition"

"Catherine was taken for granted in a marriage where she stayed loyal and just. So she decided to set her own guidelines. She broke through the box others trapped her in and stood up for what she believed in. When I'm up on stage playing this strong woman, who was so much more than a pretty face, my only hope is that every woman in the audience feels empowered." - Safiya Brooks, Catherine of Aragon in Auburn High School's production of "Six the Musical: Teen Edition" 📷: Yamile Belmontes-Macias
