Rockford University Performing Arts presents a musical tour through the epic 1980s.

It was a decade of dance and rapid technological advancement defined by its music in unprecedented ways. Celebrating Billboard Magazine’s best of the decade, “Epic 80s” features synth-pop, new wave, glam rock and more. Relive the artistic zeniths of Madonna, the Eurythmics, Cyndi Lauper, Bon Jovi, the Go-Gos, and of course, Michael Jackson. For theatre lovers, never fear, iconic hits from CATS, Phantom of the Opera, Les Mis, Into the Woods, and Little Shop of Horrors are sure to capture the energy that dominated the most prominent Broadway theatres of the decade. Don’t miss this totally tubular salute to 1980s as we pay tribute to MTV, blockbuster movies, hair bands, mega musicals and more!

As the curtain falls on an unforgettable season, we want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported our performing arts shows this year. Your energy, applause, and presence made every moment on stage truly special.

Now, we say goodbye (for now) and hello to summer break. Time to rest, recharge, and dream even bigger.

We can’t wait to see you again next year with an exciting new lineup of shows that promise to inspire, entertain, and bring us all together once more. Stay tuned… the best is yet to come 🎭✨
