I have no formal training in floral design, but I really do love making arrangements. I just space out and grab what moves me and see what happens.

When I saw had their remaining Valentine's bouquets at half off, I decided to treat myself. The gorgeous peaches and dusty links with the pops of yellow and light blue are just making my heart happy today. I had enough for this arrangement, smaller bud vases for my girls, and one to gift to a friend. ❤️

In case you need the reminder, if you don't hear it from anyone else or have a hard time saying it to yourself: You are loved. You matter. Not because of a (in my opinion, kinda overblown) holiday, but simply because you exist in this world. You are loved. You matter. Be kind to yourself and be kind to others. ❤️

I don't have any pop-ups or sales for Valentine's Day, but apparently I'm being inspired by love anyways! I've been working on some card designs for a class I'm teaching in April - it's been really fun to come up with designs that are fun , easy, and use a variety of watercolor techniques.

The best part of the recent Pop-Up at .you was having my family stop by. My daughter Audrey has been making art with me lately and she had so much fun making little cards at the event. It's February! Friendly reminder that even though the snow is melting around us and the weather feels a bit warmer, fresh flowers will generally not be growing around here in the northern part of the US for awhile. So get creative when it comes to Valentine's flowers! Think dried, pressed, and painted - check out my stories for some pieces I still have available.

If nothing but fresh flowers will do, I hear you! I encourage you to find your local florists and bring your business directly to them - that way you support a local small business and the money stays in your local community.

Another option is to gift a subscription for bouquets for a local flower farm - it gives income to flower farmers during an expense-heavy time of year. I'll list some below, but feel free to add your favorite local florists, flower farmers, or floral artists in the comments. ❤️

I've been playing with some of my pressed flowers and homemade paper - trying to see how Valentine's Day looks to me. As much as I love fresh flowers, I don't have them available this time of year in my garden, so dried and pressed it is! ✨ Pop Up Craft Announcement! ✨

I'm so excited to share what I've been getting ready for the .you Winter Pop-Up!

I will have mini 2x3" watercolor cards and flat bags on hand along with all sorts of fun things - watercolors, pens, book pages and glue sticks, stamps, and washi tape!

Anyone is welcome to test out the same paints, brushes, and paper I put in my watercolor kits and make a little note - a birthday wish, a Valentine, or just a random "I'm thinking of you" card. We can create together and share some kindness through the artwork we create!

I'm so excited to be at for ArtScene this weekend! Here are some of the things you'll see if you come out:

- dried floral pumpkins (made with flowers from my garden and homemade compostable glue!)
- dried floral wall hangings made with remnant fabric from Tad More
- pounded floral bookmarks and artwork
- gift tags sets
- fresh floral arrangements from my cutting garden
- and more!

I'd love to see you! Pop by on Friday from 5-9pm and Saturday from 4-9pm.
