People frequently ask about my process for this style of painting - so here’s the short answer. I map out the general areas lightly with pencil, then I fill in the colors with my size 4 round brush based off the primary shape and color in the original photograph. Yes, it takes patience and a steady hand. I love painting in this “stained glass” or “mosaic” style. It feels like me and I feel awfully lucky that other people seem to like it too.
