The laughter. The creativity. The friendships. The noise. The mess. The kids simply being kids.

Summer camp may be ending, but these are the moments that remind us why ACACNJ exists — to give children a place to create, belong, express themselves and just have fun.

We already miss the summer energy filling our studios, but we’re so excited for all the little and big voices that will fill them again this fall. 🍂🎨

And just like that… summer is over. ❤️

Camp is officially done. Last night’s Kids Night Out was our final celebration, and when I turned off the lights and walked out of the studio, I honestly almost cried.

I don’t like saying goodbye.

I need the noise. I need the creativity. I need the little voices asking, “When is the ice cream truck coming?” 🍦 I need the kids running over to show us what they made, the music playing, the paint everywhere, the slime-covered tables, the theater rehearsals, dancing, laughter, pizza days and all the beautiful chaos that fills our studios all summer long.

And then suddenly… it’s quiet.

That quiet is when it really hits me how much I love what we do.

ACACNJ has never been just about art projects. It is about creating a place where children can be themselves, make friends, try something new, get messy, perform, laugh, create and hopefully leave feeling a little more confident than when they walked in.

To every family who trusted us with your children this summer, and every staff member who poured so much of themselves into these days — thank you. ❤️

I am incredibly grateful, and I already miss it.

Thankfully, it won’t be quiet for long. 😊

I cannot wait for our Homeschool Hub to begin — to hear little and young voices filling our studios again, watch their imaginations take over, and be inspired by their creativity all over again.

As we begin the new school year, please continue supporting ACACNJ by joining us for an event, class, theater program, Kids Night Out, workshop or Homeschool Hub in Denville, Boonton and Bound Brook.

Every registration helps us give back to our communities, expand our programs, reach more children and keep this little dream growing.

🎉 KIDS NIGHT OUT RECAP — DENVILLE! 🎉

What a fun night at ACACNJ Denville! Our kids had a blast making slime, hanging out in the game room, dancing, singing karaoke, playing laser tag, and enjoying so many other fun activities with friends. 💛

We love creating a safe, exciting space where kids can be creative, socialize, laugh, and just have a great time.

Summer Camp Denville – Week 14, Day 5– Laser Tag & Dance Party! ❤️🎯💃

What better way to celebrate camp fun than with Laser Tag and a Dance Party! 🎯🎶 Our Denville campers had an action-packed day filled with friendly competition, music, dancing, laughter, and plenty of time to let loose with their camp friends!

Summer Camp Denville – Week 14, Day 5 – Gradient & Silhouette Sunset Paintings! 🌅🎨

Our Denville campers painted their way into a beautiful sunset! 🌅 They explored gradients and color blending to create stunning sunset skies, then added silhouettes to bring their paintings to life. A perfect project for practicing color, contrast, and composition while letting their creativity shine!

Time to get messy and creative with SLIME!

Our Denville campers mixed, stretched, squished, and experimented with their slime creations for a super fun hands-on activity. Definitely one of those camp days filled with plenty of smiles and messy fun!

Tie-dye adventures at Denville Camp! Our campers had fun creating colorful designs and turning plain pieces into their own unique creations. So many patterns, colors, and creative surprises!

Summer Camp Denville – Week 14, Day 3 – Lava Lamp Project! 🧪🎨

Today was a colorful science-meets-art adventure at our Denville Studio! Our campers created their own Lava Lamp Projects while learning about organic and geometric shapes and how shading can create form and make flat shapes look three-dimensional. They had so much fun experimenting with shapes, colors, and shading techniques!

Summer is winding down, but there’s still plenty of creativity ahead! 🍂 This fall, ACACNJ has Theater Programs, Art Clubs, Kids Night Out, Day Camps, workshops, and much more for kids to enjoy!
