Some people leave a lasting mark on a place — and John Keller and Paul Zancanella have certainly left theirs on the Sweetwater Events Complex. ❤️

John has spent decades caring for this place seeing countless people come through the grounds, while Paul has spent years serving on our board and being one of our biggest advocates. This fall, they’re both moving on to new adventures, but we couldn’t let them go without one last hurrah in the arena.

So, ropers… come help us send off two of our local legends the best way we know how — with a drawpot roping in the Indoor Arena! 🤠

Join us September 19 to rope, reminisce, and celebrate two gentlemen who have meant so much to the Sweetwater Events Complex over the years.

This week, SEC Executive Director Kandi Pendleton is at the Airstream Rally in Minot, sharing all the reasons Airstreamers will love returning to Sweetwater County when we host this group next year!

And while we’re busy bragging about our community, we’re also doing a little honorable idea stealing 😉—scouting the rally, learning what works, and gathering great ideas to make their 2027 experience at the Sweetwater Events Complex one to remember.

The excitement is already building, and we hope our community will join us as we get ready to give these visitors a fantastic Sweetwater County welcome in 2027! ❤️
