Welcome back home, Taylor!! “Taylor Lynn is a proud Center for Living Arts alumna who began her journey in just the second show ever produced after the theatre opened—and went on to perform in nearly every production for the next decade! Her favorite roles include Veronica (Heathers), Elle Woods (Legally Blonde), Mary (Jesus Christ Superstar), and Natalie (All Shook Up). Taylor went on to earn her BFA in Musical Theatre and has since stepped into the professional world of the Big Apple. She is absolutely ecstatic to be returning to her home away from home for a trip down memory lane - sprinkled with holiday cheer!”

Please spread the word that we need a couple more Mentors for our Penguin Players!

Our Penguin Players are still in need of a couple of kind-hearted, giving individuals to be Mentors for their program.

Here are the details:
Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings 6:30 - 8 pm & Saturday mornings 10:30 am - Noon at Center for Living Arts 220 19th Street, Rock Island
Mentor Ages: ages 18+
Show Dates: January 30 - February 1, 2026 at Brunner Theatre at Augustana College

Why mentors matter: Without enough mentors, we can’t accommodate all of the Artists eager to shine on stage this year.
We’d love your help—whether that’s stepping in as a mentor yourself or passing this along to someone who might be interested.

📧 For more info, please email: [email protected]

Thank you for considering this opportunity to change lives, make memories, and be part of something extraordinary.

Hello everyone!

The Penguin Project and the Penguin Players of the Quad Cities are on the lookout for peer mentors to join us in our upcoming productions of Frozen Jr.

We need enthusiastic actors—or simply outgoing, friendly people who enjoy singing—to partner with our Artists (performers with special needs). Together, you’ll rehearse lines, music, and choreography, and ultimately perform side-by-side on stage.

The Penguin Project is unlike anything else: every role in the show is filled by an Artist, and mentors provide the encouragement and support that help make it possible. It’s a program that is not only beautiful and inspiring, but also truly life-changing for everyone involved.

Here’s the scoop:

Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings & Saturday mornings (90 minutes each)

Mentor Ages:

Penguin Project — ages 12–24

Penguin Players — ages 18+

Why mentors matter: Without enough mentors, we can’t accommodate all of the Artists eager to shine on stage this year.

We’d love your help—whether that’s stepping in as a mentor yourself or passing this along to someone who might be interested.
