Koda June II is complete! One more in the works and then I’ll show you the full triptych— I’ve got the perfect spot planned out for these. This is one of my all-time favorite shots of her. Those puppy dog eyes. 🥹

This is the first of a special triptych I’m working on for myself. Yes, myself. I started these little paintings two years ago(?) and pushed them to the side for my ongoing waitlist. But my sweet 12, almost 13 year old, Koda Bear has had a tough year. We had a cancerous tumor removed off her leg in May and a variety of senior dog health hurdles recently. She still has many good days, but she has slowed down tremendously in the past few months. She sleeps a lot more and we’re at the stage where I often look over at her laying beside me to make sure I still see the rise and fall of her chest. I say all this to say, I want to finish these paintings while she’s still with me.

I often paint pets who have already crossed the 🌈 bridge. It truly is an honor to create these portraits for grieving pet owners. BUT I don’t want to have to be the artist for such work of my own dog. I’m not sure my heart could handle it. I’m still plugging away at my waitlist, but I’m wiggling in two more of these little paintings for myself over the next couple of weeks. 🤍

Reposting my in-laws’s beautiful 1976 Wellcraft 27’ custom center console, Havana, that I painted for my Father-in-law’s birthday last year! So thankful for all the wonderful memories cruising with them over the years—from the lakes here in the Carolinas to Les Cheneaux in Michigan last summer!

What you see is a beautiful home. But to the Pyles family, this was more than just a beautiful home. It holds almost 30 years of memories, laughter, and love.

I was honored to create this home portrait for them, so they can always remember this special property as they begin a new chapter closer to their children and grandchildren.

While I’m plugging away at projects and have a few I cannot share yet, I’m putting this fave back in the feed from last August! I had the honor of memorializing a special dog and a special place.

While I have some projects that are in progress and some I cannot share yet, I’m revisiting this beautiful home I painted last July for Abigail Wilson & Lark Design! I love this beautiful home in one of my favorite neighborhoods in my city!

This house was a textural feast for the eyes! The stone facade and golden light shining through the trees made this one extra fun to paint. Thank you, Abigail Wilson, for trusting me to create another home portrait for you and your clients!
