Meet Bay & Coriander, the newest additions to the African penguin colony here at Seneca Park Zoo! 🐧✨

The colony at the Zoo previously had more males than females, which can cause increased competition and aggression between males. Bay and Coriander are here to help with that!

Bay and Coriander were born in 2019 at the Maryland Zoo and came to Seneca Park Zoo in mid-August. After their standard quarantine, they were introduced to two male penguins, Kaden and Tonka, and they are getting along great!

Want to know how to spot them? 👀 Bay and Tonka have matching yellow and black bands, while Coriander and Kaden have matching brown bands.

Stop by today to celebrate with them and to see if you can spot them out on habitat!

Today is , and we're explaining what a DAF is and how they can help nonprofits like Seneca Park Zoo.

So, what is a DAF? A Donor-Advised Fund is a tax-advantaged charitable giving account for individuals, families, or businesses. Funds are contributed to the account, and grants can then be recommended to eligible nonprofit organizations.

On we ask those with funds to consider recommending a grant to Seneca Park Zoo. Your support helps us protect wildlife & wildplaces, inspire the next generation of conservationists, and to empower our community to take action for the natural world. Every gift helps strengthen this work and creates a lasting impact for wildlife, people, and the natural world.

Three Zoo trips. That’s all it takes for a family of four to make a zoo membership pay for itself! 🐘🍂

And with fall here, there are plenty of reasons to come back. The Zoo is the perfect place to enjoy the changing leaves, get some fresh air, and to get your steps in. 🐾✨ Plus, some of the animals in our care are more active in the cooler weather, including Anoki the polar bear, Kaba and Timila the snow leopards, and Gizmo and Rose the red pandas!
