Sunscreen can make a big difference when it comes to reducing skin cancer risk, but Ella Engels, a medical student at University of Rochester Medicine, noticed something in talking with the community about sun safety: for some families, access to sunscreen is not so simple. ☀

Her solution? Making free sunscreen available at various locations throughout the county. Dispensers are now available at Seneca Park Zoo and Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester NY.

We had an incredible Animals of the Savanna Weekend here at the Zoo! 🦓

It was great seeing so many people exploring, learning, and celebrating wildlife with us. Guests enjoyed interactive games, Ambassador Animal meet & greets, storytimes, Insider Chats, and even a few special rounds of members-only bingo. 🎉
