This is Atlas! 🤩
After Solee passed away, I couldn't leave the stem plant tank empty. Plants thrive from the nitrogen and phosphorus created by animal waste. I also missed a little face staring back at me while gathering plant orders. 🥹
Atlas is a koi candy mask halfmoon Betta splendens (whew😮💨) all the way from Thailand! I have purchased from this breeder in the past and decided to do so again this time around. The overall health of the fish I've received has outweighed the heartbreak I've experienced firsthand with commercial pet stores.
Each color name represents different genetic color combinations: Koi, classified under the Marble gene (carried by many betta fish and can naturally alter their color as they age,) is a heavily speckled, multi-coloration. Candy dipicts four or more colors, such as pink or blue, over a translucent base. He has a solid white mask over his face. The last name, Halfmoon, represents tail type. Halfmoon bettas have a caudal (tail) fin that, while flared, spreads out in a 180° circle.
Full of color and attitude. 🥰
