This past weekend we held our Volunteer Appreciation Reception. Musicians, staff, friends, and family celebrated our volunteers for all they’ve done this season. From escorting thousands of students at education concerts to decorating Kodak Hall at the holidays, acting as room monitors, prepping crafts for OrKIDStra concerts, and of course, ushering each concert.

Earlier this season, RPYO musicians had the opportunity to work with Patti Niemi in a special Q&A session and master class. An RPYO alumni, Patti now serves as Principal Percussionist of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, and shared valuable insight and feedback with the orchestra throughout the experience.
