RPC Theatre Project

RPC Theatre Project Originally founded in 2014. Revived in 2023. Project founded by a queer, neurodiverse person. ROC NY RPC stands for resilience, persistance, courage.

Originally founded in 2014 as the Risotto Patate Cafe Theater Company, the RPC Theatre Project inspires to be a performing arts organization in Rochester NY specializing in original theatrical works, dramatic storytelling, perhaps some musical works, perhaps more. Our tagline is "Our stories... our voices... our lives". We’re queer, neurodiverse and proud! Our first production, Stefan Baer's one-m

an show titled "Tales of the North Street Cafegymnorium" premiered at the Rochester Fringe Festival on September 19, 2015 on the TheatreROCS stage (now the Theatre at Innovation Square). In 2016 Stefan returned to the Fringe with a show titled "Short Straws and High Roads". We marched in the ROC Pride Parade in 2018! We will return to the Rochester Fringe Festival in 2023 with a new show titled "Now We Are in 6th (Grade)"

This is a work in progress. This will likely take time, patience, and persistence! Right now the founder/director will work to secure funds, find performance venues, and seek to grow the organization. In the meantime, please like this page and share it with your friends. We very much appreciate your support and hope to eventually add to the multitude of performing arts organizations in Rochester!

will be performed at MuCCC on Saturday September 14 at 3:30 pm. Running time is approximately 60 minutes.

From the Fringe guide (to be published next month, but you can view it on the rocfringe website):

“Down at the studios of WQND, Stefan and his puppet assistant Charlie are preparing for another episode. Only this time, the episode will be performed live, in front of a studio audience! This audience-participatory show invites attendees to decide which short scene they would like to see performed next. Simply call out the number that corresponds to each given scene, and it will be performed on the spot! Inspired by the play ‘Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind’ by Greg Allen.”

Tickets for this and all other Rochester Fringe Festival shows should be available soon at rochesterfringe.com
