Opening on April 1st (no, we’re not joking), the musical follows Joe Boyd, who, dissatisfied with his life and with the standings of his favorite baseball team – the Washington Senators – makes a deal with the devilish Mr. Applegate to transform himself into Joe Hardy, a young baseball rookie who is just what the Senators need to beat the Yankees and win themselves the pennant.
