What a way to close out the WNY Pagan Collective’s Pagan Extravaganza! Gretchen and Elizabeth led us in one last group dance and a wonderfully wild witches’ cackle—the perfect way to burn off all that amazing energy after an unforgettable day. 💜✨

So much love for our WNY Pagan community, across all our different paths and traditions, and for the friends who came to celebrate alongside us. To the organizers, volunteers, vendors, presenters, performers, and everyone who showed up with an open heart: THANK YOU for making this gathering so special!

Mythic Treasures really is one of those places you can wander into for “just one thing” and somehow lose an hour. 😂🔮

There are crystals, tarot and oracle decks, herbs, jewelry, gifts, witchy supplies, and all kinds of little treasures tucked everywhere… but what I love most is that you can also come in, ask questions, talk about what you’re exploring, and find people who actually get it. It’s more than a store. It’s a place to commune, learn, explore, and sometimes find exactly what you didn’t know you were looking for.

I FOUND JESUS… at the Pagan Extravaganza. 😂

Sunday with the WNY Pagan Collective was such an awesome day—great conversations, so much laughter, and a room full of wonderful people celebrating our different paths.

And somewhere between chatting with my peeps and taking it all in, I spotted a familiar face on the wall. Naturally, I had to report my findings. 🤣

I love the heart of this quote, but I’m going to tweak it a little because I don’t think it’s our job to make sure every person who comes to us leaves happier.

That can turn into people-pleasing really fast.

You are not responsible for managing everybody else’s emotional state.

Sometimes being loving means listening.

Sometimes it means making somebody laugh.

Sometimes it means telling the truth when the truth isn’t particularly comfortable.

Sometimes it means saying no.

And sometimes the kindest thing you can do is not make somebody else’s bad behavior easier for them.

So for me, “spread love everywhere you go” is less about making everybody happy and more about deciding what kind of energy I want to add to the spaces I move through.

Can I be kind without abandoning myself?

Can I be honest without being needlessly cruel?

Can I leave somebody feeling seen, respected, or at least not diminished by the interaction?

That feels much more real to me.

Love without boundaries becomes self-erasure. Boundaries without compassion can become walls. There’s a balance in there, and like most things worth learning, we get better at it by practicing.

We talk about that kind of real-world spirituality inside The Mystic Path—Witchcraft, energy, intuition, psychic development, empathy, boundaries, healing, and how all of it actually works when other humans are involved. 😂

Comparison gets really sneaky when we’re trying to decide whether we’re “successful.”

Because if you borrow somebody else’s measuring stick, you can end up building an entire life you don’t even particularly want and then wondering why achieving it doesn’t feel satisfying.

Success means different things to different people.

For one person it might be money and a career they’re proud of.

For somebody else it might be enough freedom to control their own time.

It might be raising kids who feel safe with you. Creating art. Building community. Having peace in your home. Becoming healthier. Learning how to say no. Getting through a year you honestly weren’t sure you could get through.

None of those definitions have to compete.

The useful question is not “Am I doing as well as that person?”

It’s “Am I building something that actually matters to ME?”

And that answer can change as you change.

A spiritual path works the same way. There isn’t one level you’re supposed to reach where somebody stamps your card and declares you enlightened enough. 😂 Your path has to make sense to you.

That’s exactly why I encourage people inside The Mystic Path to ask questions, explore different practices, and adapt what they learn instead of simply copying somebody else’s version of spirituality.

I like the idea in this, but I would change one piece of it.

I don’t think every time we fall down it’s because the Universe intentionally put something down there for us to find.

Sometimes s**t just happens.

Sometimes people hurt us. Sometimes plans fail. Sometimes our own choices have consequences. Sometimes life changes without asking permission.

I don’t need every painful thing to have been sent to me “for a reason” in order to find meaning in what I do next.

That distinction matters to me.

Because even when I would never have chosen the fall, I can still look around while I’m down there and ask, “Okay. What do I know now that I didn’t know before?”

Maybe you find a boundary.

Maybe you find out who actually shows up.

Maybe you discover strength you didn’t know you had.

Maybe you finally see a pattern because you can’t avoid looking at it anymore.

That doesn’t make the hurt good. It doesn’t mean you needed to suffer. It means the pain doesn’t get to be the only thing you take away from the experience.

That’s a big part of how I approach shadow work and spiritual growth too. We don’t have to romanticize the darkness to learn something while we’re in it.
