We’re so excited to welcome Jenny Holahan to the Draper Center faculty! 🩰💃

A Rochester native, Jenny holds a BFA in Dance Performance from SUNY Buffalo and has enjoyed an exciting professional career performing with Royal Caribbean, on Broadway tours, and on stages across the country and in New York City.

Jenny brings a wealth of professional experience in Jazz and Musical Theater, and we’re thrilled for our students to learn from her, grow their skills, and benefit from her experience! ❤️

✨ WELCOME BACK TO DRAPER, SARAH SCHIFFHAUER! ✨

We’re thrilled to welcome Sarah Schiffhauer back to the Draper Center faculty! A Rochester native and former Draper student, Sarah has come full circle and is excited to share her love of dance with the next generation of dancers in our community. 🤍

Sarah earned her BFA in Ballet with a Teaching Emphasis and Ballet Studio Teaching Certificate from the University of Utah in 2025. During her time there, she performed in works by acclaimed choreographers, developed her own choreography, and discovered her passion for teaching.

Since graduating, Sarah has continued pursuing professional dance and choreography, including creating work with fellow company members of NWA Ballet Theatre in Arkansas.

We’re so excited to have Sarah back where her dance journey began and can’t wait for our students to learn from her experience, passion, and creativity! 🩰✨

We’re so excited to welcome Rachel Greene to the Draper faculty! Rachel is a Rochester-based professional dancer and educator with a BFA in Dance from SUNY Brockport, bringing her experience in Ballet and Modern to our students.

We’re thrilled to have Rachel join our teaching team and can’t wait for our dancers to learn, grow, and be inspired by her! 🤍

Draper Center’s Ballet Jump-Start program is back for another year! These fun, introductory dance classes are perfect for little ones who are ready to move, explore, and have fun. No dance experience needed!

🩰✨ A Week of Ballet History at Draper Center’s Summer Intensive ✨🩰

This week, our Summer Intensive dancers have been exploring the lives and artistry of some of the most influential choreographers in ballet history.

From August Bournonville’s effortless elegance and joyful movement, to Marius Petipa’s grand classical traditions, Frederick Ashton’s musical storytelling, and George Balanchine’s innovative vision — our dancers have been learning how these artists shaped the way we experience ballet today.

Through each choreographer, dancers are discovering that ballet is more than steps. It is artistry, musicality, expression, history, and the ability to bring movement to life.

We are so proud of our dancers for embracing not only the technique of ballet, but also the rich history and creativity behind the art form. ✨
