UR LOGOS Art & Literature Journal

UR LOGOS Art & Literature Journal LOGOS (est. 1972) is the University of Rochester's premier journal of undergraduate arts and literature, published annually in the spring.

Join us weekly for review sessions, monthly for planned events! How to submit work to LOGOS:

-Email your piece (or a photograph of your piece) to [email protected].
-Include your name, print name (if different), the title of work, and the medium. LOGOS submission guidelines:

-We're now open for submissions in the following categories: poetry, prose, photography, painting, and other med

ia.
-Short stories should be limited to six pages, double-spaced. Our review board will decide whether or not to read a short story in full based on the first two pages.
-Undergraduate students may submit up to a total of of SIX pieces.
-LOGOS will only accept up to THREE pieces from one student.
-All writers/artists may request feedback on their work. The feedback comes from our discussions during review sessions. LOGOS voting procedure:

-All submissions are reviewed anonymously. Only the editor will know who submitted each piece.
-All decisions on submissions are made by a hand vote during review meetings after submissions are discussed by the review board.
-LOGOS members can vote yes, no, or choose to abstain from the vote.
-There must be a 2/3 majority for a vote to be final.
-The editor reserves the right to take away the right to abstain if a 2/3 majority is not reached or if there is a tie.
-If there is a tie and no one has abstained, the editor will break the tie. The editor cannot vote otherwise and must remain neutral to the best of his/her ability.
