RocHaha Clown Festival RocHaha Clown Festival is an annual 5-day festival presenting theatrical clowning workshops and performances.

RocHaha also runs The Auguste Roost, a vibrant community movement studio located in downtown Rochester, NY hosting clown classes and more. RocHaha Clown Festival is a newly formed, annual 5-day festival presenting contemporary theatrical clowning workshops and performances. Our program embraces clowning in all its forms; multi-disciplinary, wordless, circus-theatre, puppetry/animation, object theatre, mime, live art, and physical theatre. RocHaha Clown Fest was founded by Katherine Marino and Ashley Jones in 2024 to combine the talents of Rochester’s own burgeoning clown community with award-winning world-renowned clowns and physical theatre makers from across the globe. We are excited to present our explosively inventive program of subversive, silly visual performance to tempt artists and audiences alike out of their comfort zones and become the home of contemporary theatrical clown in Western New York.

And that’s a wrap on RocHaha 2026!

32 clowns graced our stage. They made us laugh, made us cry, sang, spoke, provoked us and made us think. A clown can shine a light on the world and help us laugh at it.

We’ve had an amazing time bringing this festival to Rochester. To our artists, audiences, volunteers and everyone who helped make it happen: thank you for joining us on this ridiculous, beautiful journey.

And how do we finish a week of laughter, vulnerability and community???

By throwing a pie in a producer’s face. Obviously.

Here’s your loser… or your winner… of PIE THE PRODUCERS 2026. The distinction feels a little slippery.

More photos to come! Keep and eye out

With love and pies!
Until next time

PUSH Physical Theatre’s Generic Male is kicking off our Saturday evening performance program!

The Rochester based touring theatre company was founded in 2000s by Husband and Wife duo Darren and Heather Stevenson.

Generic Male: Just What We Need Another Show About Men is their off-broadway multi-award winning show, devised in collaboration with Ashley Jones!
(who also just so happens to be our festival producer)

The show has toured all around the US, the UK and has played on your favorite stages in Rochester ever since 2021! They’ve been at Geva, JCC, the Little and now the Generic Males are taking on the MuCCC for RocHaha.

If you haven’t seen it yet, then you’ve got it! and if you have…bring someone who hasn’t!

Join these “clowns” as they attempt to tear down the patriarchy while dancing merrily on the rubble.
