One of my favorite things about a glaze firing is just how amazingly dull everything looks going into the kiln. The colors are flat, chalky, and honestly not very exciting.

And then you open the kiln… 🌈✨

Suddenly everything is bright, glossy, and almost candy-coated, with that beautiful shimmer and shine everywhere. It never gets old seeing those colors come to life.

New bowl alert! ✨

I’ve been working on these new forms, and I’m pretty excited about where they’re going. Each bowl is hand-built from slabs, and I’m really enjoying the imperfect edges, wobbles, and little variations that come with building them by hand.

I wanted to start making larger forms so I could use the walls of the bowls almost like a canvas—playing with bright color, bold patterns, texture, and contrasting glaze combinations.

I’ve also been experimenting with more open forms, like the fruit bowl, that allow for airflow while still giving me plenty of surface area to play with pattern and color.

These are definitely the beginning of something I want to keep exploring. What do you all think? Which one is your favorite? 💛💙🩷

Hey, did you know you can find my pottery at Food Union Food Union right here in Rochester, Minnesota? 🍰✨

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth at Uptown Art Fair this weekend! 💛 It was such a joy meeting so many new faces, and Minneapolis… you really showed up.

The new location was beautiful, the weather couldn’t have been better, and it felt like exactly the kind of weekend everyone needed. I’m so grateful to everyone who took home a ceramic piece, a print, or one of the other little treasures from my booth. Thank you for stopping to chat, sharing your stories, and supporting my work. It truly means the world to me.

Shout out to Uptown Association for bringing this fair back this year!! 🎉
