10 Years of Art in the Elements

For a decade, Art in the Elements has brought together an incredible flower family of florists and floral artists who have filled the grounds of Meadow Brook Hall with imagination, beauty, and some seriously wild ideas.

Along the way, tens of thousands of you have come to experience the show and watch it transform year after year. We’re so grateful you’ve made this part of our story.

For our 10th anniversary, we’re going bigger than ever, with more installations and an expanded footprint designed for both daytime and nighttime viewing.

☀️ Daytime: September 2–7, 10 AM–4 PM

This year’s theme, Across the Universe, has something for everyone: florists, flower lovers, space nerds, science enthusiasts, dreamers, and anyone who appreciates the incredible architecture and grounds of Meadow Brook Hall.

What's Art in the Elements like?

It's a show where 20+ epic floral sculptures by floral artists are showcased outdoors, with a natural canopy backdrop. The installations are ever-changing, as the light moves throughout the day, and spot-lit during the evening preview event. Gloriously ephemeral, no two photos of these designs are ever the same.

Expect child-like romping through the woods by day and grown-up traipsing by night at one of our 6 day shows or TWO dusk cocktail parties. Meandering is, of course, always welcome.

Expect ten more floral designs inside the hall, inspired by spaces selected by the curators each year. The designers each create to enhance the magnificent Hall.

Expect fine artists to be landscape painting along the chipped paths and tucked in and around the impeccable gardens and sculptures, organized by the for regional artists each year.

Expect to spend a few hours wandering, exploring and enjoying time in nature this Labor Day weekend.
