๐บ Hello again everybody, and selamat pagi (good morning)! Our amazingly refreshed rendition of the fabled legend of Mahsuri: The Unforgiven Sin performance, combined with beautifully choreographed and colorful cultural dances was witnessed by 180 fascinating turnouts! (Yeay, alhamdulillah!) We would like to take this opportunity to send out our most deep felt gratitude for your show of support last Saturday, April 1st, 2017 for the performance. To all the audience who came; the representatives from The Lodge, RIT International Student Services (ISS), RIT Global Union and RIT professors from all different colleges as well as RIT students, community and alumni. Also to our dear friends, not only from Rochester but also from Buffalo, Troy, Pennsylvania and even Washington D.C.. Your presence, filling the seats in the auditorium ensuring a full house is indeed, irreplaceable. We thank you very much, from us all at RIT Malaysian Student Association (RIT MYSA) .
Overall, the feedback we have received were equally overwhelming. The audience loved the performance and said that it was awesome and impressive. They too loved the yummy delicious signature dish, โnasi lemakโ (rice cooked with coconut milk and pandan leaf) with delicate spicy taste of โsambalโ (condiment). We bet it was very appetizing that many have asked for the recipe. There was quite a number of them said that they will now have Malaysia in their travel bucket list. โ๏ธ๐ฒ๐พ
On this note, we are truly grateful to our incredible sponsor, The Lodge who have been truly amazing and generous. This event was also supported by many other associations namely Tourism Malaysia USA, RIT International Student Association, RIT Global Union Association, RIT Student Government and Project SpiRIT. Thank you, thank you very much. ๐๐ป
โจ In all-embracing picture, with all their time and hard work put into making this event successful and rewarding; we would also like to thank all our RIT MYSA production members (from to the multitalented actors/actresses + dancers), for working together hand in hand. As the Malay proverb goes โKecil-kecil cili padiโ - which refers to something small in stature that contains something unexpected for its size. Thatโs us, the . Although we are one of the smallest Malaysian students communities (40 students) in the USA, we believed we have done a successful job as ambassadors for promoting and sharing our unique Malaysian cultures with the local community of Rochester. Well done, everybody! ๐๐ป๐๐ป
Yours truly signing off - terima kasih, Aezzaddin Aisyah Zainuddin (Project Advisor) & Nurul Aisyah Samsudin (Project Director) ๐ฏ๐
