The Rochester Avon Recreation Authority(RARA) has been providing recreational services to the communities of Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, and the surrounding communities in Michigan, since 1946. We provide recreation programs for ages 6 months to 110 years, in a variety of areas. Including: Adaptive/Special Needs, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Martial Arts, Gym/Cheer, Sports/Leagues, Special Events, Facility Rentals, Clinics & Classes, Day Camps, Fitness, Preschool, and any other idea that you bring to us.

Come get artsy while you get in the Halloween spirit! 👻

In this class, artists will learn about Vincent Van Gogh while creating artwork inspired by his famous painting Starry Night. We’ll use paint, glitter and more to create a Halloween pumpkin patch complete with starry skies and swirling winds.

Learn the skills you need to respond confidently in an emergency with our Adult/Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification Class at RARA taught by Live Safe Academy!

Designed for ages 12+, this course covers how to respond to cardiac and choking emergencies, sudden illness, bleeding and other life-threatening situations — including how to properly use an AED.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a First Aid and Adult/Pediatric CPR/AED certification card valid for two years.

🗓️ Wednesday, 11/4 (6pm-9:30pm) / ages 12+
🗓️ Arrive up to 10 minutes early — on-time arrival is required for certification.
