And tomorrow, Sunday May 17th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Stop by. Buy the art. Smell the flowers. Go green. Seek the peace!

Michael and Marcia Roadshow Alert! Find us tomorrow in Booth 95 at the fabulous Rochester Lilac Festival. From 10:00 to 5:00 p.m.. And we'll be back here next weekend too , Saturday 10:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 to 5:00 pm. This is our neighborhood. This is our park. So here we are out among the people, the families, the neighbors, the diverse Rochesterians. Love it all. Love you all.

A harvest foretold? From September 2023, a mixture of , , and - including the *glorious* little yellow "Tim's Taste of Paradise" from .

We are all giddy here in anticipation of more of Tim and his descendants. You see, under the grow lights, seedlings are up and ready for transplanting to bigger pots. Oh yeah…what a crew. Amethyst Cream, Apollo's Chariot, Blue Pear, Copper Olive, Flavor Gr***de, Heart of Fusion, Josh's Garnet, Midnight Pear, Moonbeam, Phil's Two, Rebel Starfighter VD-21, Showstopper, Sgt. Pepper's Yellow, Sergeant Pineapple, Solar Vortex, Stargazer, Supernova...and Tim's.

Too, too many. I just can’t quit this addiction. If you are of the Love Apple Culture, you may know what I mean. I mean, you have to to get the good stuff. Maybe not grow as many varieties as we do, though… but if you are out there with your own addiction, show us your list!

Peas and Fava beans are sacred to me. We go back over 60 years together...when I first helped my grandfather with his garden. This year it is a little later than most. I usually try to make my first plantings around the first day of spring. The soil wasn't ready, though, and neither was I. Still, the day after Earth Day works well to get these legumes in the ground again. Broccoli, Arugula, Radish, and Calendula are already in. And Tomatoes, Peppers and Eggplant are ready to transplant into larger pots on the grow-light tower. Spring, I love it so!

One Day More!

Studio Michaelino’s show, “Fantasies from the Urban Garden” has been extended through Monday, April 13th. The 30 works on display include “Messier’s Whirlpool”, our celebration of the M51 Galaxy.

The exhibition is on view from 10 am - 8 pm at “My Sister’s Gallery," which is in the lobby of The Episcopal Group Home at 505 Mt Hope Ave in Rochester, NY.

Last week for Fantasies! Our latest exhibition is on view daily from 10 am - 8 pm until April 12th. And you can visit with artists (and 30 of their artworks) on April 7 and April 9 from 4-7 pm.

Here’s another preview image of a photograph debuting at this show. “For Lori” is dedicated to our neighbor Lori who loves purple and pink colors. It just so happens that every year, Marcia plants varieties of pink and purple dahlias next to Lori’s house!

First Friday Checklist!

30 works of art (all framed using museum quality glass .) ✅
Illustrations of the story of our art ✅

To complete the list, all we need is your presence. We are here till 8:00 p.m. today and Marcia and I will be back to visit with you on next Tuesday and Thursday between 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. No wine and pastries next week though. ☹️

Happy New Year! Part II

Most years, we create a holiday greeting card with new art for mailing to family, friends, patrons, and more friends. This year, we created the art but ran out of time while designing the card. But still, share it we will! (With a short video where we pull back the curtain.)

Happy New Year! Marcia and I are thrilled to begin 2026 by participating in “The Magic of Light” at Image City Photography Gallery. Three of our photos of homegrown organic collage were selected for the 19th Annual Juried Show. Along with our works, “The Magic of Light” features 72 other photographers exhibiting a total of 116 framed images. The show opened last night (January 2nd) and continues until January 25th. Hours for the gallery are Monday - Saturday Noon - 6pm, Sunday Noon - 4 pm. There is no admission fee and the gallery is accessible to everyone.

On display by Studio Michaelino are: “Vignette of Twilight #12”, “An Amore Moon”, and “Sun of the Yellow Submarine.”
