Name: Logan Smith
Major: Music Therapy 2025
Role in the show: Dido
Favorite Food: Chicken Tenders and Crunchy Rolls from Sogo
Favorite Artist/Style: I love Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, Sammy Rae and & Friends, and Country Music
Past Show Experience: I have been performing since I was young. This is my first opera and my first lead role!
Favorite song from the show?: When I am Laid In Earth
Memory from your time at Roberts?: Movie night in the physics lab
Future plan?: I plan to practice schoolbased music therapy and persure my masters in education
What do you enjoy about the show or the rehearsal process?: I’ve loved getting to see the confidence and excitement grow throught the process. The lengths this cast has gone to make the show what it is has been so special.
What’s a special skill/talent you have?: I’m a really good writer and pride myself on my poetry
Fun fact: I’m going to 26 concerts this summer!

Character Name: Queen Dido
What is a fun fact about your character in the show?: She used to rule another kingom, but after the death of her first husband she feld to start a new kingdom; Carthage.
What is your favorite thing about Queen Dido? : She’s head strong and confident.
Why do you think Dido and Aeneas should be together?: I am on the fence, he’s really strong and handsome but I have been by myself for so long, I’m not sure its worth the risk to fall in love again.

Name: Cecilia Guerra
Major: Vocal Performance 2025
Role in the show: Sorceress
Favorite Food: Pad Thai
Favorite Artist/Style: Alternative/Indie, currently on a Hozier kick 🎶
Past Show Experience: I grew up doing musical theater and taking lessons. I only started signing classically in high school and fell in love.
Favorite song from the show?: 🎶 But ere we this perform
Memory from your time at Roberts?: Making Weggies runs with friends to get sweets and snacks
Future plan?: Singing and performing professionally and teaching voice
What do you enjoy about the rehearsal process?: I love tech week! Hot take, I know, but I love feeling all the pieces coming together and getting really specific notes that help me put finishing touches on my character
What’s a special skill/talent you have?: I can crack the top knuckle of my fingers
Fun fact: I am the oldest of 6 kids

Favorite Food: Jamaican food, specially Curry Goat
Favorite Artist/Style: Favorite Type of Music: I listen to all genres of music except country and heavy metal (sorry😭) 🎶
Past Show Experience: Participated in musicals from 1st-12th grade, assisted in stage managing for Roberts’ production of “Cosi fan tutti,” and sang in last years Opera Scenes
Favorite song from the show?: 🎶 In our deep vaulted cell
Memory from your time at Roberts?: Conducting the Women’s choir on campus and singing with the Gospel Choir!
Future plan?: Elementary or High School music educator, conductor for professional youth choirs, music director for operas/church/etc.
What do you enjoy about the rehearsal process?: In this specific production, I have most enjoyed both rehearsing with the choral ensemble and learning more about conducting recitative.
What’s a special skill/talent you have?: Iceskating
Fun fact: I’ve visited 7 countries outside the U.S.!

Favorite Artist/Style: Favorite Type of Music: progressive rock and alternative (alt) rock; Favorite Artist: Coldplay 🎶
Past Show Experience: Performed in musical theater productions throughout middle and high school, performed in Roberts Wesleyan's production of Così Fan Tutte and last year's Opera Scenes production, dance (tap/jazz/ballet) for 16 years

Memory from your time at Roberts?: Performing with the Roberts Chorale in the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) after the 2023 spring semester
Future plan?: Music teacher, composer
What do you enjoy about the rehearsal process?: I like getting to dig down deep with the music, figuring out how my part fits in with the rest of the ensemble, and how the music can help with the stage directions
What’s a special skill/talent you have?: I create my own languages for fun in my spare time!
Fun fact: I'm a sucker for collecting vinyl, and so I've got a really cool Magnavox turntable from the 80s with a tape deck on it

What is a fun fact about your character in the show?: Despite being the captain of the ship, he still enjoys relaxing with his crew every once in a while
What is your favorite thing about Queen Dido? : She cares deeply about the people she rules over, regardless of their status
Why do you think Dido and Aeneas should be together?: To benefit the military power of both parties involved! You can't defend a good relationship without a good army to back you up, after all

Memory from your time at Roberts?: Going to the Baltics with the chorale last summer and spending time there with my friends and fiancé
Future plan?: Ultimately be a flight nurse, but for now, finishing planning my wedding! (Engaged in December)
What do you enjoy about the show or the rehearsal process?: Watching everything come together piece by piece and putting together the story in my own way
What’s a special skill/talent you have?: Crocheting cute mini animals!
Fun fact: I drive an F-150/ got engaged in December (you can use either)

What is your favorite thing about Queen Dido? : She is so down-to-earth, but she is still able to be spontaneous and throw killer parties!
Why do you think Dido and Aeneas should be together?: Dido deserves to find someone who she can let her guard down around and make her feel like the queen she is

What do you enjoy about the show or the rehearsal process?: Seeing the show come together from the first read through to the final tech rehearsal!
What’s a special skill/talent you have?: I can hum and play the flute at the same time
Fun fact: Placed in 2 International Classical Singing Competitions and will be performing in La Clemenza di Tito as Viteilla in Salzburg Austria this summer

What is a fun fact about your character in the show?: She never allows herself to have a moment of sadness or weakness and puts the queens needs before anything else
What is your favorite thing about Queen Dido? : She is a queen of the people, she is down to earth once you get to truly know her
Why do you think Dido and Aeneas should be together?: For her to allow the happiness she has been denying herself to not appear weak to her subjects of Carthage

Why do you think Dido and Aeneas should be together?: They are a great match. Me and my cousin ship them together - they’re both sweet and though she can take care of herself he’s a provider so she’ll be happy with him
