DSouza Mosaics

DSouza Mosaics I craft custom mosaic art from glass & stone using tradition methods and materials. I like to say "I paint with glass."

My work is featured in several gallery and part of many corporate and private collections.

Heads up to all my friends! Someone is using a couple of my photos and has created a FAKE account!!! If you are already one of my friends do NOT accept a friend request from this account. Report it to FB as a Fake. I have done this 3 times and yet it still is out there... Just heard that they said I received a 50K grant. NOT TRUE!!!

I’ve had a couple friends message me saying they got a “friend request” . It’s not me… it has my photos but it’s not coming from me. Please report as a fraud to FB so it is removed.
Thanks
The real Deb DSouza

I've included so before, during and after grout photos. 🤩It always amazes me the difference the messy grout makes to the finished mosaic! 😉

Meet the Station Artist: Debra D'Souza

Debra was born and raised in the upper Midwest and currently lives in Austin, MN. She has a BFA in Studio Art with a painting emphasis from UW-Stout. Although she has used many mediums for her creative process, her favorite is glass. She has studied with master mosaicists world-wide. She is expanding her mosaic practice by adding fused glass elements to her designs, and currently studies glass fusing with the Maestro Narcissus Quagliata. Her mosaic art is included in private and permanent collections, including Stanford University, Penn State, Health Partners, Hennepin County Medical, Mayo Health System, Marshfield Clinic and the City of Rochester, MN. Her mosaics can be found in multiple regional art galleries and she teaches workshops at a variety of locations within SE Minnesota.

Other accomplishments include: Twice past recipient of a Creative Support for Individuals Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, a SEMAC Established Artist Grant and twice awarded an artist residency in Ireland. She continues to expand her knowledge and experience with the art of mosaic and glass.

In advance of the Link Bus Rapid Transit: Meet the Station Artists events on November 2nd and 3rd, we are thrilled to introduce the talented artists selected to enhance the design and user experience of the seven stations. Attend the events to provide input on the artists' preliminary concepts and share your ideas.

Yippee 🥳! I have been selected for a Creative Support for Individual Artists Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
