Rochester Community Players The Rochester Community Players is Rochester NY's oldest theater group, celebrating our 100th Season in 2025!

RCP has staged productions continuously since 1925 and in that time has produced over 675 productions. The RCP repertory includes both contemporary and classic dramas, comedies, mysteries and musicals. In 1994, RCP created the Shakespeare program as a part of the Rochester Community Players. The program was founded by Peter Scribner, and the first production was Twelfth Night, November 19, 1994. Each July, the Shakespeare Program stages a free, full-length production at the Highland Park Bowl; indoor productions are staged at MuCCC. Our Irish program stages productions of both contemporary and classic Irish dramatic literature, also at MuCCC. We are proud to share information about our upcoming talkbacks!

Talk Back discussions will take place with interested audience members immediately after the performances of Sharyn Rothstein’s A Good Farmer on October 17 and 18. RCP President Maria Brandt will be the moderator for both sessions.

��October 17: Farmworkers from Alianza Agrícola will share their stories. Alianza Agrícola is a group led by and comprised of immigrant farmworkers in Western and Central New York. October 18: Representatives from Rochester Rapid Response Network (RRRN) will share information and answer questions about how their organization that provides Rapid Response, Mutual Aid, and Advocacy for vulnerable neighbors. RRRN activities are coordinated through their hotline: (585) 420-6471.

face challenges of friendship and survival in a rural area where immigration raids are
