Richard Satava is Retiring after a Legendary 50 years!

Richard Satava was introduced to glassblowing in 1969 while at Oceana High School in Pacifica, California. He then studied art and glassblowing at the College of San Mateo, and California State University, Chico. As important as learning the skills of glass blowing at San Mateo was, the experiences he had at Chico as a glass shop technician are what gave him the experience and practice to excel. In 1977 he established his own Northern California glass studio called Satava Art Glass.
