Coming up to our last concert of the season with Headliner, Sam Robbins, and opener, Maria Gillard on April 4th at 7:30. Sam has played at festivals like Falcon Ridge and Kerrville. His story telling is reminiscent of James Taylor, with a gentle vocal touch and great guitar. He's been described as an "old soul singer/songwriter". Here is Sam on "Hard to Hate".

Sam Robbins perform at to 2024 Acorn Singer-Songwriter Competition. Subscribe to The Acorn’s channel: https://bit.ly/344rhcCNashville based singer songwriter...

Our next concert is creeping up on us after we had to cancel due to the bad weather and roads in February. We are rescheduling Erin for next season. Next, we have one of my favorites, Peter Mulvey, on Saturday, March 7th. Davey O will be our opener that night. Peter always brings his warm humanity, his social conscience, and his blend of folk, jazz, and a little rock and blues. Our best musicians are often the ones whose music evolves and Peter's music definitely does as he has played and collaborated with so many other performers. It will be a little poetry, a little commentary, and some beautiful music.

I figured maybe people could use a song like this today.“I don’t know if one ever gets to beWhat one wants to be. You know, I thinkYou just have to play it b...

Less than a week from our Feb. 7 Concert with Headliner Erin Ash Sullivan and opener Maria Sebastian. Erin has won awards for her songwriting which comes from lived experiences and has been really receiving rave reviews on her most recent album "Signposts and Marks". This is Erin's first time in Rochester but I think it won't be her last. Please join us this Saturday at 7:30 pm for a wonderful concert. And of course, there will be baked goods. Erin is also a fan of baked goods.

We are starting our publicity for our next concert with Erin Ash Sullivan, headlining, and Maria Sebastian, opening. Erin started out with her folk career in NYC as part of a duo with a college friend, Amy Speace. Shortly after their group, Edith O, came out with their first album (which was very positively received) Erin left the road to stay home with her infant son and to teach school. Fast forward to a few years ago, and Erin decided to return to her love for music and songwriting. Her first album broke into the top 10 in the FAI Folk DJ Chart and her more recent hit the top 4. She has hit the ground running and I know you are going to be glad to hear her for her first show at Cafe Veritas. Here's Erin who has been called "a songwriter of the highest order" for her work on Signposts and Marks (Graeme Tait, Americana UK) singing"I Stole a Book"

John Dady is really looking forward to an opportunity to perform with his son, Connor, who is usually busy with his band, Cottonwood Drifters in Colorado. This is the first time in years they will be on the same stage together. And Paul Vincent (PV) Nunes is looking forward to performing with our Steinway grand on Saturday. We will miss Chris Wilson, who is sick at home with pneumonia and we hope he has a quick and full recovery.
