As we head into the final week of the semester, we don't want to go by without acknowledging the wonderful work that our students have done throughout the year, but also on our final performance of the year.

We shared the stage in a side-by-side collaboration with students from the Twelve Corners Middle School and their amazing lead teacher, Mr. Matthew Glende

Thank you all for a wonderful year. 3 masterworks concerts, a full staged opera, a full Halloween program with students from the Churchville-Chili High School and guest conductor Chelsea Wahl, a few pop Christmas tunes for our Holiday Gala collaboration, and of course, a chamber orchestra concert.

We look forward to a brand new year full of possibilities and as always, great projects and collaborations. And to those graduating, we say go conquer the world!

What an incredible experience collaborating with Naz Opera and faculty. It has been truly uplifting and rewarding for our students to be part of a production like this.

Kudos to Kasi Krenzer Marshall, Artistic Director, and Dr. Kevin Nitsch, Music Director—and the loudest shout-out to the Naz Symphony members and conductor Dr. Raúl A. Munguía for taking on Humperdinck’s richly complex score.

Join us tonight at 7:00 PM and tomorrow at 1:30 PM, and step into the forest with Hänsel & Gretel.

Meet Crystalina Baumer!

Crystalina will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Music following this fall. Over the past few years, she has enjoyed singing with Nazareth University’s Opera Workshop, Treble Choir, and Chamber Singers. It is an honor for her to be singing with the Nazareth University Symphony Orchestra. Later this spring, she looks forward to singing with them again as the Dew Fairy in Nazareth’s production of Hansel and Gretel. Beyond her endeavors in Rochester, Crystalina has appeared in recitals hosted by the Opera Foundation of Buffalo and the Erwin H. Johnson Memorial Fund, Inc., and she frequently competes in local, national, and international vocal competitions. Aside from being on stage, Crystalina advocates for interdisciplinary studies in music and can be found taking classes in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department alongside classes required for her minors in Mathematics and Music History. Last year, her cross-disciplinary research was accepted as a presentation by the Pan American Vocology Association. Now, she is eagerly preparing a lecture recital that combines her interests to be presented in the fall. She hopes to apply the skills that her professors and experiences at Naz have graced her with in a graduate program in vocal performance and research.

Join us on this Friday 2/20 at 7:30 PM in the beautiful Beston Hall. The concert is Free and Open to the public.
