Above & Beyond Dance Company Welcome to Above & Beyond Dance Company, where teaching the art of dance is our passion. Throughout her years as a student she achieved many accomplishments.

Owner/Director Misty Smith

Misty began her dancing career in 1987 at Linda Ushman's Dance Centre. She was the recipient of a two week scholarship to the EDGE Performing Arts Center in Los Angles, CA. She performed at Walt Disney World and performed with Phyllis Diller at the Prairie Capital Convention Center. She also represented St. Louis and the Mid-West in a two day showcase at Caesar's Palace

in Las Vegas, NV. At the age of 18, Misty began her teaching career. During her 15 years of teaching, she has continued her education in dance by taking many workshops and classes at the EDGE Performing Arts Center and The Millennium in Los Angles, CA. She has produced numerous award winning and over-all scoring competition routines over the years as well. Misty has a true passion for her art and teaching children.
