We had teased the image with details and a sketch, but the final has gone beyond our expectations! We love this print filled with fantastic symbolic imagery and lively energy. THE PROCESS IS EASY:
1. Contact Megan Magee Sullivan at link below to participate.
2. She will notify you of your edition size
3. Create your edition
4. Drop-off your edition
5. Pick-up your collection of prints

Important Dates:
• Deadline for sign-up: April 29th
• Notification of edition size: May 1st
• Edition drop-off by May 22nd at Flower City Arts Center
• Pick up your collection of prints and see display at Members Exhibition opening reception on May 31st

Lynd Ward was an American artist known for a series of “wordless novels” in the style of . After stumbling upon a display of a few reprints of the novels at the , we recalled the 1969 presentation print for the as unusual for the larger size and somewhat intense figure in the foreground. Most of the Ward prints were quite small for inclusion in books. The print club has a few copies available if you would like to own an original Lynde Ward print!

Printmaking technology has changed over the centuries, but the essential elements of the human hand and brain guiding the technology remain key. As a “what if,” … we ran our classic Print Club logo wood engraving through some AI prompts. The results raise some important questions (but no answers) on what does AI have to do with printmaking? This could be an intriguing topic for a future seminar on new technology and printmaking. What do you think?
