Here is an update on VeeTV, as our social media platform continues to attract new followers. We are incredibly grateful for your support. VeeTV was launched at RIT as a student startup in 2017. Unfortunately, VeeTV is no longer active, as our team was composed of students and the typical scenario for many startups unfolded: everyone graduated from college, found full-time jobs, and moved on to other startups. Vision: VeeTV aims to revolutionize sign language entertainment by providing an all-in-one streaming service with a curated library of the best content featuring deaf/sign language themes and characters. From award-winning short films and documentaries to feature-length movies, the content on VeeTV is not only entertaining and educational but also empowering.
Our Milestones:
•Secured 2nd place in NBI.
• Participated in the RIT Saunders Startup Program.
• Had a booth at DEN in Washington DC.
• Received a sponsored trip to DEN in Los Angeles.
• Were featured in Reporter Magazine.
• Won 3rd place in the RIT Business Model Competition.
• Networked with numerous deaf and hard-of-hearing filmmakers. Through our research and interviews, we learned that producers of sign language content face challenges in distribution and profitability.
• Launched an actual prototype with movies and videos, which was very well received (!).
Thank you so much for your support throughout our startup journey.
Now, we are happy to see a friend launching VSYN+ the world’s
first streaming platform for sign language entertainment. We are thrilled to see what VSYN+ will bring! Follow VSYN+ for more. www.vsynplus.com
