I have played around with how to present this collection of AI generated songs for a while now. Is it a band’s weird triple album that they made when they coincidentally ended up with two much studio time or perhaps when they actively wanted to get out of their record contract? Is it three different albums by three different bands? Is it the entire three record career discography of a band? Or is it actually what it really is: a collection of songs created via the same AI creation process over a period of time and edited and arranged in a certain way?

A slowcore, funeral doom metal, post-rock song deconstructed by AI granular synthesis plunderphonics as it progresses.

I used “minor” as part of the first prompt and I think that inadvertently summoned “A Minor Forest” but I also hear some slint. The first 2:10 was generated at once with a very long prompt that had moods and direction for lyrics, which have some surprisingly good bits, after that I extended it in 30 second chunks to its final length of about 15 minutes, which is the current maximum Udio song length. I changed the prompt repeatedly as I went along as that tends to glitch the part of the algorithm that looks at the previous context of the song when extending. I also changed other parameters. As Udio always makes two options to choose from that makes more than 60 segments that I made decisions on along the way as sometimes I rejected both results. Occasionally I also cropped the ends. I did not write, perform, record or produce this song, but yet I am responsible for it. In process it is similar to a plunderphonic remix and granular synthesis audio processing.
