NTID Performing Arts was established in the Fall of 1974, with the opening of the Institute's new permanent buildings, as integral part of the Institute's curriculum f

ollowing the success of the student drama club founded by Dr. Robert Panara in 1969. NTID Performing Arts produces 3-4 shows every season, including collaborative productions with the RIT School of Performing Arts. Dance at RIT is also housed in our department. We offer a comprehensive curriculum of theatre and dance courses. Students can complete minor and immersion in theatre design and stagecraft, as well as a certificate in performing arts.
