Hey Pawsitive People.

We will be opening late today (5/22) at 2pm. One of our at home fosters, Hot Rod, screamed last night, got nauseous and panted. He had a urinary blockage that required immediate attention.

Suzanne rushed him to Orchard Park Veterinary Services, some 90 minutes of a drive, at 11:30pm and didn't get in until 5:15am. As a result, Hot Rod is still with us. Johnny will be there asap, but it looks like a 2pm opening is the earliest he can do.

Come hang out with the kittens and the humans!

We will be open all Memorial Day Weekend!

Its supposed to be rainy all weekend and cold. Come out and play with some cats this weekend. We have several new friends to come hang with.

Keep posted on any changes. We want to be open for half the day on Memorial Day, but if its dead we will leave early. Always make sure to book online to ensure your spot and lets us know you will be coming.

Road trip post!

So we went out to Watkins Glen yesterday. About a hour and a half drive or 80 mi from the cafe. It is one of our favorite hikes to go during the summer.

1.5 mi gorge trail leads you through the most beautiful waterfalls and cascades. 19 waterfalls to be exact. Like many gorges, it is 200 feet cliff walls carved out by the glaciers. You can see lots of birds of prey nesting up on these cliffs. It is home to lots of fauna and flora. I love to take my time looking for salamanders hiding in the pools along the cliffs. Also love admiring all the wildflowers and ferns naturally growing in the rock.

If you are not a fan of stairs, would not recommend. Especially till July, they have some of the gorge closed off due to repairs. So you will have to go up the ridge trail, which is more stairs going up. About 800 stairs going up and down. You can go take the shuttle to the end of the gorge, and go backwards. Makes it a little easier if you are not a fan.

Would recommend going at least once in your life to visit.

Well, this is unfortunate.

The washing machine bought when we moved in here has a complete motor breakdown and is no longer functional. Do any of our wonderful Pawsitive People have one they're getting rid of?

We have been using this as a way to keep our cat beds and mop heads clean and disinfected to keep on top of cleaning the lounge. Having this has been a huge help and we desperately need a new one.
