After a year and a half of unforgettable concerts and incredible events, Essex will be closing its doors at the end of February.

All shows in February will still be held at Essex, but starting in March, they will be held at Anthology.

But this isn’t goodbye—it’s a new beginning. The team behind Essex is officially taking over Anthology, and we’re honored to continue the legacy of creating incredible live experiences in Rochester.

To celebrate the end of an era, we’re throwing one last Pop Off Party at Essex TOMORROW, JAN 31st with our friends at Lake Beverage & NÜTRL Seltzer, featuring sets from Andrew Pololos, Pepi & Daniel Nguyen.

And the best part? It’s FREE.

On Saturday, February 8th, 2025 Metro Justice will be holding a musical event called “Organizing the Blues” from 6:00pm – 11pm at Essex.

Great blues music from Steve Grills & The Roadmasters and the Debbie Kendrick Project starts at 7pm, there will be a cash bar, some food for sale, and a few select vendors to add to the festivities.

It’ll be a fun, uplifting evening to help brighten the darkness of winter as well as give them a needed boost for the battles to come.

All proceeds will benefit the work of Metro Justice.
