It’s over! We paid out $19,396 at the John Combs Memorial Weekend Barrel Bash! I hope you got some of that cash and had a blast! I want to thank everyone for cleaning up their area!
I don’t have enough words to express how thankful I am for everyone’s help!!! I of course want to start with the sponsors! You guys rocked it! Anna Jacobs Insurance Agent for being the main event sponsor!
Next, my neighbors. I’m incredibly blessed to live in this neighborhood. They could complain about the noise all weekend but instead, they sponsor and they help at the event 😅👏🏻 The girls in the office, all my neighbors!
Callie Johnson works tirelessly on this event with me. We are on the phone every single day with each other the month leading up to it. She then secretaries the office for me! She keeps everything in order!
And Callie’s husband Josh, for helping even after pouring concrete!
Donna Page, she does my averages and fills the payouts AND cooks me amazing meals every day!!! Donna also arranged all the FFA barrel setters! Wow!
Lois Delhotal came over to help with whatever we asked of her she was on the spot with it! And all these ladies sponsored the event too!

Charli Deshazo working wherever we put her! Mostly the gate woman! Up early every day! She’s tiny but mighty!
And her parents Jed & Nikki Baehr, who are both Life Flight Nurses, jumping in to check out those who had wrecks!
Piper Johnson, following right in her mom’s footsteps, helping us in the announcer booth!
My daughter. Saddled my horse, warmed him up and then rode 2 of her own horses and kept up with chores on our 20 horses and announced while I ran!

And last but not least, my husband. Who works a full time job but has always been there to make sure these events run! On the tractor dragging mostly, but doing everything else I ask too😵💫😬 He’s amazing and he works hard. I think that’s why I get so upset if someone complains because you’re taking stabs at him and I don’t take to that lightly! He doesn’t have to do this!!
