There are moments in this business that remind me exactly why I do what I do.

I handed this sweet girl her winnings, and before they left, her parents asked if they could get a picture of us together.

And y’all… that meant more to me than they probably realized.

Sometimes, as a producer, you’re so busy worrying about entries, payouts, awards, ground, schedules, complaints, and making sure everybody else is taken care of that you don’t really stop and think about the impact you might be making along the way.

But this little moment made me feel seen.

To all the parents who bring your babies to my shows, thank you for sharing them with me. Thank you for trusting Salter Productions to be a small part of their childhood and their journey.

I absolutely love getting to watch these kids grow: watching the nervous little peewee become the confident youth rider, watching their friendships form, and getting to cheer for them through all of it.

I hope when they’re grown, they remember these arenas, these horses, these friendships, and these nights as some of the best parts of growing up.

Because I know I’ll remember them.

The checks and awards are fun, but these kids are the part that matters.

Thank you for letting me love them, cheer for them, and be just a tiny piece of their story.
