Katryn Broadoak - Poet Katryn is a breast cancer survivor, a mother, and a lifelong seeker. She writes from the space between faith and freedom.

Her path has evolved into something eclectic and earth-centered, rooted in reverence for what’s real and unseen alike. Katryn Broadoak is a poet, mother, and breast cancer survivor whose life has carried her across five countries and countless inner landscapes. She has lived in five countries and speaks English and French (and a little Spanish if you’re patient). A breast cancer survivor, a mother

Once steeped in organised religion, her path has evolved into something more eclectic and earth-centered, rooted in reverence for what’s real and unseen alike (with a bit of a penchant for casual blasphemy from time to time). Her poetry is an offering for anyone who’s ever felt lost — a lantern to light the way toward the other side of something hard, something holy, or both.

I will be back at The Wayside Inn tomorrow at 7pm for another one of their Local Author Talks. I will be reading from my debut a poetry collection, Ports and Portals, answering questions, and signing books.

Their in house restaurant is fantastic, the hotel is one of the oldest still running hotels in the country, it’s super cool. North West VA besties, would love to see you all there!
