Want to enjoy a week of theatre camp and get volunteer hours? Join our team as a Kaleidoscope Buddy! You must be at least 12 years old, have patience and a willingness to help others. Each Buddy will be partnered with one of our Kaleidoscope students for the week and help them as we explore movement and dance. VCT's 'Elementary Ensemble: Building Blocks' class is beginning soon! We are offering this in Franklin County AND Roanoke!
In this unique program, young participants are given prompts to inspire their imaginations as they build with LEGO bricks, crafting vibrant and imaginative structures. These creations become the foundation for an original script, encouraging students to translate their three-dimensional masterpieces into stories and characters for performance. As they develop their script, children learn the basics of storytelling, character development, and dialogue creation. The process not only enhances their creativity and problem-solving skills but also builds teamwork and communication abilities.
