Kaleidoscope Dance is committed to co-creating spaces for queer, trans, and ally dancers to connect, learn, and have fun through dance! We teach using inclusive and gender-neutral language and educate dancers in consent practices for integration on and off the dance floor.

Join us for a magical, Wicked-inspired q***r tango experience. No partner necessary! Pre-register by 11/11 for discounted event entry. QDR is offering magical ✨pre-registration package deals✨ for the weekender through 11/11! - Friday 11/21 @7:15PM: QDB Q***r Tango Beginner Lesson at Blacksburg Dance Theater (pay at door $5-15 sliding scale)
- Saturday 11/22 @ 2-5PM: Wicked Tango Workshops followed by tango dinner meet-up @ Evie’s. These workshops are for “post-beginners,” we ask that you attend at least ONE beginner tango class prior to attending. QDB and QDR offer q***r tango classes during the month of November on Sundays and Fridays! Check their pages for more info.
- Sunday 11/23 @ 12-3PM: Swankified Milonga with tango lesson at 12PM in Roanoke
*Elly will be offering private and group private lessons throughout the week of 11/20-30!*

Meet QDR’s new logo!! We had a lot of fun with this one. We are so grateful to the QDR fam and our artist for all of the time and effort and heart put into the making of something that feels like it really represents the spirit of QDR!

What started as a brainstorm in the living room over pizza became something much more with many iterations, word associations, and conversations regarding color, symbolism, and capturing the essence of what QDR means to us.

Rachel Anne even made sure we had the logo ready to debut for QDR’s performance ‘s National Dance Day Celebration with hand painted shirts!

This Sunday 9/28 we will have two wonderful guest instructors! Catch Ophelia for a zouk connection class at 6pm for our Sunday Scaries class, followed by Q***r Tango with Lane at 7:15PM!

Ophelia of will be offering a zouk connection class to offer a new lens to what we have been learning about listening, inviting, and responding in bachata!

In Q***r Tango with Lane we will be continuing our journey of the baldoza, aka box! How many ways can we break the box once we learn it??? And maybe a lil bit more milonga for all you milongueres 😘

QDR is thrilled to be a part of ‘s National Dance Day Celebration featuring all of Roanoke’s dance groups and communities.

***rdanceroanoke’s Kross and Malinda will be performing a special dance theater piece at the event!!
