Being a mentor is more than just teaching someone how to do a certain skill set and then setting them off into the world and saying goodbye and good luck. For me, being a parent, they kind of become your children. You tend to their needs, you make sure they have what they need and are looking over their shoulder and correcting them when they make a mistake. Congratulating them with every job well done and feel proud with every achievement they make. You work with them more than you are with your family. You laugh, and sometimes you cry. You feel their hardships and they feel yours. You get to know their family and they, yours. You become family. You see the talent and artistic ability they have, even if they don’t and you push them. Sometimes to their breaking point. You want them to grow. You want them to do better, even better than you. Cause you see it in them. Even when they don’t. For me, that’s what it means to be a mentor. ~Mel~ This was .mvaz first time using a machine on a grapefruit. She did amazing. One of her own designs.

Tattooing brings some of the greatest gifts. I did this Bouquet Bee on the lovely
She was my Grandfather’s favorite assisted living nurse. She would take him outside to find four leaf clovers regularly. She was there for him when we couldn’t be. Especially through Covid. I know she brought him peace and comfort when he could not return to his home and so much that was familiar was gone. He was so lucky to have you 🍀 Thank you so much.
