DIY NEW RELEASE UPDATE
5/15 - 5/23
Another twelve just hit the stack, and this batch bends in a few different directions at once.
This DIY New Release run cuts through rap rock, rock, metal, metalcore, hardcore, nu-core, classical metal, emo punk, funk rock, post-hardcore, and prog rock, which means the mood swings are built in. Some of these tracks want motion. Some want pressure. Some want swagger, some want collapse, and some feel like they showed up specifically to make your speakers work harder than they planned to.
The DIY New Release Playlist isn’t here to force all of that into one lane. It’s here to keep tabs on who’s still making the kind of music that leaves a mark.
CRANK THIS → Find the one that throws the room off center
SAVE THIS → Keep up with the names still pushing forward
ARM THE UNDERGROUND → Back the artists still showing up with something real
Field Test Suggestions (fresh batch):
→ Catching yourself rewinding the same 30 seconds three times
→ Letting a new track talk you into staying up longer than you should
→ Finding the song that makes the rest of the playlist rearrange itself
Back the bands. Don’t just stream - follow, share, show up. That’s how DIY stays alive.
💙 Heavy music isn’t noise - it’s medicine. Find the song that holds the line.
