TAX SEASON FAQ'S FROM ROANOKE RAPIDS PUBLIC LIBRARY

Where can I get paper tax forms?
• The Roanoke Rapids Public Library will print 2 free copies of IRS and NC tax forms (not including instruction booklets) for each individual. Additional copies are $0.20 per page (Credit card minimum is $10). Instruction booklets are available to view through the IRS and NC Department of Revenue websites only. Due to the volume of pages, we will not print instruction booklets.
• IRS tax forms are available online at https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/forms-and-publications-by-us-mail or by phone at 800-829-3676
• NC tax forms can be requested online at https://www.ncdor.gov/taxes-forms/order-certain-tax-forms-and-instructions or by phone at 1-877-252-3052 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Does the library provide filing assistance?
• The Free File Alliance collaborates with the IRS and state revenue agencies to provide free electronic tax services to taxpayers who qualify. Details are available at https://www.ncdor.gov/file-pay/efile-resources-taxpayers/nc-free-file
• Free tax help is available through Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) or Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE), which are available through the IRS or by calling 1-800-829-1040. Certain eligibility requirements apply.

Are there any tax forms the library cannot print for use?
• Some forms are only available through your employer (such as a W-2) or through a provider (such as a 1095-B). There are also some forms that are printable for information only but cannot be used for filing (such as 1099-MISC, 1095-A, and 1096).

FOR ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING HOW TO FILL OUT TAX FORMS, PLEASE CONSULT A CPA OR CERTIFIED TAX PREPARER.

The following lists of eFile provider websites have been approved for the preparation and online electronic filing of state and federal individual

The Roanoke Rapids Public Library will host our annual Grinchy Christmas Party TUESDAY, DECEMBER 16. This is for families and children. We will have multiple games and craft stations after the read aloud.
We will be reading "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" promptly at 4 PM. If you child will not sit quietly during the reading, please wait until 4:15 to come inside. This is to ensure we have a positive group experience with minimal disruptions.

Public service will end at 3 PM. All library staff will be participating in this program so computers and checkouts will not be available after 3 PM. Thank you for your cooperation!
