Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a Playful New Pet
Palm Beach Countyβs Animal Care and Control Division (PBCACC) is celebrating Cinco de Mayo all month long by offering $5 adoptions during May. And, for this weekend only (Saturday, May 6, and Sunday, May 7, from 2-4 p.m.) there will be $5 microchips, rabies vaccine and rabies tags for sterilized pets.
With over 150 dogs in need of homes, why celebrate any occasion alone? PBCACC knows that choosing a best friend can be tough. For a pet with a quirky personality, PBCACC encourages adopters to stop by the shelter to meet Jackson. Jackson is a sweet dog with a playful personality. He has an amazing silly pounce and loves to wiggle when he gets excited. His long-haired, Grinch-like paws are an amazing conversation starter and just one of his loveable features. He gets along with other dogs, walks beautifully on leash and knows basic commands.
Each adoption will ensure the pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and have county license tags. And to make sure adopters get started off on the right βpaw,β they receive a free Health Care Certificate that offers a free exam for their pet from participating veterinarians (value of up to $500 in savings) and a bag of Hillβs Science Diet pet food.
PBCACC encourages those interested in fostering or adopting to meet their perfect match in person during the Cinco de Mayo adoption week. Adoptable pets can be viewed online at https://secure.co.palm-beach.fl.us/snap/home. The foster/adoption application is completed in person at PBC ACC. No appointment needed.
The adoption center hours are Monday to Friday, noon β 6 p.m.; Saturday, noon β 5 p.m.; Sunday, noon β 4 p.m.
PBC Animal Care and Control is located at 7100 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach, just west of the Florida Turnpike. For more information, please call (561) 233-1200 or visit www.pbcgov.com/animal
