08/07/2026
Today is the first time in months that I have taken the time to sit and reflect on what a year it has been, I never desired or asked to be in the position I am currently in but I was determined no matter what to do my best to help Fremont County have a fantastic 2026 Fair and I’m so grateful for the opportunity. Thank you to my friends and family for your love and support. I am so thankful to the Fair Board and our Commission Liaison Clarence Thomas for all their hard work and commitment that went into hosting a great fair, thank you to their families for sacrificing family time for the effort. Rick Wilmes works hard every day of the year to keep our grounds in tiptop shape, we were so fortunate to have a fantastic crew in the office and on the grounds this summer, thank you all for your hard work and dedication. Special thanks to all of our superintendents, committees, extension staff, 4–H, FFA leaders, royalty and volunteers who stepped in to get things done. There are hundreds of man hours that go into putting fair together, and you selflessly give your time and talents to the task. Thank you to all of our exhibitors, vendors and participants for making our fair what it is, we couldn’t do it without you. We were fortunate to have participants from every corner of the county this year. We were all entertained at the night shows by members of our own community, and were able to see the hard work and efforts of our exhibitors. From the beauty steeped in the cultural tradition of the Powwow, the adrenaline pumping action of the rodeos and figure 8 races, the pure silliness and joy of water fights and Weiner dog races, the overwhelming generosity of buyers at the sale, and everyone who just stopped by to check things out, together we make the Fair! Thank you Fremont County!
